What’s new at CIS - 1 Million Displays, New Team Members, & Industry Accolades

We’ve had a busy few months at CIS with new people joining, magazine interviews and the commemoration of a company milestone.

We welcomed back Andrew Collingridge, as our new Business Development Manager. Andrew joins us back after a four year stint  away from CIS. He brings with him a unique style that is a combination of artistic wits, good eye for design, urban aesthetics and an absolute passion for converting client objectives to modular dreams. He is the rare sales person who understands design and production – having worked up from the factory floor.

Acknowledging our creativity and innovation in design, Desktop magazine recently profiled our MD Steve Howell as a leading industrial designer in Australia. Steve was approached to comment about his career and rise in the industry. The article can be viewed on Desktop’s website. There’s also the mention of the next big thing that we are working on.

A couple of months ago, we celebrated a big company milestone – production of our millionth unit. It was a proud moment for us when we rolled out the one millionth display unit produced for Lenovo at the factory in China. To put things in perspective, to date, POP units produced by CIS have carried:

  • Around 10 million Chupa Chups in dispenser units produced for Cadbury Schweppes
  • Over 57 million Cadbury Favourites in seasonal quarter pallets
  • And, enough packets of Smiths and Red Rock Deli chips to reach London and back

The millionth unit highlights a landmark in CIS’ 16 year history that has included international and local awards and units displayed across the world (in over 54 countries at any given point) at shopping malls, supermarkets, petrol station and convenience stores, pharmacies and other retail locations in New York, Perth, London, Vienna, Paris and Budapest, to name a few.
