Schweppes has appointed Creative Instore Solutions to create an off-premise display unit that has shown to drive a sales uplift of 50-100% during the Easter holidays. By producing this off-premise display promotion, Schweppes are creating opportunities for retailers to maximise the seasonal opportunity for their mixer products and increase sales of full margin product that goes directly to increasing the retailers bottom line.
“Schweppes primary objective for the grocery route was to bring more visibility for the product off-premise. They know that by doing this during the Easter and Christmas holiday periods, in particular, they can achieve a sales uplift between 50-100% depending on the store.” said Steve Howell, MD, Creative Instore Solutions.
Mixer products such as tonic, soda water, ginger ale and lemonade are the focus for the unit, created by Creative Instore Solutions, which will display both the 300ml and the 1250ml bottles.
For retailers, this is a golden opportunity to reap the full benefit of ‘full margin’ sales. By positioning the ‘full margin’ products off-premise at an opportune time (holiday period), additional revenue opportunities are created for both the brand and retailer.
Taking advantage of product bundling is also a key driver in boosting impulse purchase at point of sale. The mixers will be cross-promoted with Nobby’s products, as results show a spike in sales when merchandised together.

Additionally, artwork with a clear ‘call to action’ based on the strong brand awareness for Schweppes attracts consumers to prompt the impulse sale.
