Background
For client PepsiCo Smiths, we were asked to design a simple fun unit for Twisties that made consumers laugh, and stimulated brand desirability for this much loved cheesy snack.
Strategy
The display had to achieve premium positioning at the front of the store, typically by the counter or at the end of the aisle, away from it’s home in the snack food isle. To do this, the unit needed to be modular in design to accommodate varied turnover, have a small footprint for placement flexibility, and easy to assemble by the sales team.
Results
Due to the success of the display retailers have embraced the unit, recognising the benefits to them as the unit speaks directly to shoppers, bringing alive in their minds the catch phrase “Life’s pretty straight without Twisties”, and successfully translating to a significant sales boost.
The Twisties Big Mouth Semi Permanent Display was also awarded the esteemed DISPLAY of the YEAR Award at the 2008 POPAI OMA Awards.
